Our Support Team is the point of contact for our customers and supports them in all kinds of activities involved in managing a website.

Van Ons is an internet agency based in Amsterdam and specialized in the development of complex and advanced websites, shops and apps. From a beautifully renovated office in the heart of Amsterdam, we work on beautiful projects for our customers, for which we sometimes win prizes (Indebuurt.nl from DPG Media became Website of the Year in 2020, 2021 and 2022!).

About you

  • You have a high sense of responsibility.
  • You firmly believe that prevention is better than cure.
  • You can empathize with customers and colleagues.
  • You communicate clearly in speech and writing (Dutch and English).
  • You have an affinity with managing WordPress and/or Laravel websites.

Daily work

  • Answering customers by phone and managing expectations.
  • Schedule tickets with programmers.
  • You don't have to program yourself, but you can.
  • Identifying improvements to our processes.

Day to day

The day starts with a cup of coffee with colleagues. Have a chat and hear what's going on today. 

You start by opening Help Scout to see if customers have submitted a support ticket and if any sites were down last night. In the latter case, first look in the server logs to see if you can find something and possibly solve it yourself. If it is too complicated or specialist, colleagues are immediately available to help you.

On the phone, a customer asks how she can right-align an image in a news story. Because you have some experience with WordPress, you can help the customer quickly. Today you will mainly spend the rest of the morning handling and answering support tickets.

Time for lunch. Something easy from the supermarket or something tasty from the Albert Cuyp market is all possible. The advantage of working in the heart of Amsterdam. After lunch you play a game of Mario Kart with colleagues and you are recharged for the rest of the day.

After some testing for a customer, you look at the purchase prices of the web hosting together with the Operations Manager. You inform the customer about the price change and end the day with support tickets and emails.
