Introduce

We are Van Ons, a digital agency founded in 2006. Since the start, we have had a strong technical profile and enjoy working with open source software and solutions. We work for many large clients at home and abroad and with a team of 25 colleagues we work on complex technical solutions every day. This starts with corporate websites and continues to platforms, developing middleware and realizing apps for Apple and Android.

We often win prizes for our work and win several awards every year. For example, the In De Buurt platform became 'Website of the Year' for the fourth time in a row in 2023 and we are proud of our listing in the FONK150, the list of the 150 best digital agencies in the Netherlands.

Our Traineeship program

When you have just finished your training, you will have a very nice set of tools in your pocket. You then want to deploy and use all of those tools. During our traineeship you will go into depth and we will show you what is involved in the development of the complex projects we work on. In a three-month process we take you to the most complex and challenging corners of web development. We also teach you what it is like to work in an agency, from dealing with clients to scoping projects.

What we offer

  • Back-end Traineeship: For three months you will be immersed in the Laravel framework
  • Front-end Traineeship: In three months you will learn everything needed to create the most beautiful front-end using HTML/SCSS/JS and React.

  • 1-on-1 code reviews from our experienced senior developers
  • A generous monthly allowance

What we are looking for

  • A novice programmer with an MBO or HBO education in the field of web development (Computer Science)
  • You are driven and motivated to take your programming skills to the next level
  • You would like to build your career in the agency world
