Our web design/front-end vacancy

Within our team we have a new but also special position at the intersection of web design and front-end development. Together with the account manager you will go to sales meetings and pitches to already give our prospects a head start. to warm up with fresh ideas. Once the job is in, you set up the design from A to Z, equipped with a well-thought-out UX and a smart mobile design. You take the lead in the design process with our customers and together we make decisions to arrive at a suitable end product. And the icing on the cake will you also help? as a front-ender to convert the templates into a solid working front-end.

Van Ons is a digital agency founded in 2006. With a team of just over 20 colleagues, we work for many clients at home and abroad. We are listed in the EmerceTop100 list as one of the best Digital Development Bureaus in the Netherlands. With a customer satisfaction of 9,2, we have also been in the FONK150 list for several years. Our work has won website of the year awards several times.

Our office is located on the Weteringschans in Amsterdam, close to the metro stop and in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the canal belt and De Pijp. Besides work we enjoy nice dinners, drinks and we make a trip abroad every year. After Porto, Berlin, Turin and Athens we will go to Basel in 2025.

Role and competencies

  • You communicate clearly in word and writing. (Dutch).
  • You can come up with a concept for a new website together with a client and develop it into a complete web design in Figma.
  • You are familiar with the WCAG guidelines and align your designs accordingly.
  • You know how to provide complex web projects with a clear UX for the end user.
  • You have knowledge of HTML, SCSS and Javascript.
  • Pre: you have experience with WordPress or Laravel.
  • You enjoy converting designs from Figma into working pages and templates in, for example, WordPress or custom Laravel websites.
  • You are happy to help optimize our own corporate identity by, for example, designing beautiful posts for social media and header images on our website.
  • You are proactive, like to think about the direction of our agency in the field of design and you are happy to help with that.
  • You have at least five years of demonstrable work experience at an agency and your portfolio reflects this.

  • Good salary that grows nicely every year.
    • Salary range intermediate: €3.250 and €4.250 gross for full-time (40 hours)
    • Salary range senior: €4.075 and €5.250 gross for full time (40 hours)
